Do you have a bike that you need fixing....or do you fancy learning  how to look after it yourself?  We can help you help yourself!

RideWise run Bike Maintenance Workshops which are free in some neighbourhoods so you can learn how to do the basics, such as fixing a puncture, changing a tyre or adjusting your brakes. If you fancy learning how to look after your bike yourself and save a fair amount

of money then contact us at   This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or look in the NEWS section on our home page. www.ridewise.org.uk or at the bottom of this page.

Or, if you want to get your bike working safely there might be a  volunteer in your neighbourhood who can help you to do minor repairs  and show you how to keep your bike in good day to day condition. Click  here to find out what's happening around you (link to bike hood et)

There are loads of great local bike shops that can help keep your cycle in tip top condition at a reasonable cost (http://www.ridewise.org.uk/links-a-resources ).

RideWise attend lots of community events where we can help by  inspecting your bike to help you along the way or go one step further with a Dr Bike surgery where your bike's minor ills can be diagnosed and hopefully cured. If you'd like to come along to an event near you then contact us on   This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

If you want to get even more involved, then there are opportunities to be a part of Nottingham's bike recycling schemes - these schemes take  'pre loved' bikes and then turn them into roadworthy vehicles to use  within the community.  And, with some schemes you can even get formal

qualifications by getting involved. www.fha.org.uk?

Once you've learned the basics then the world is your oyster!  If you Love your bike and love keeping it looking great and working well then  you could even look at a career in cycle maintenance and retailing.
