We work with lots of Nottingham primary schools to deliver Bikeability. Bikeability is based on the government's National Standard for cycling and instructor training. It prepares people to cycle everywhere cycling is permitted.

Bikeability is a progressive programme, in which trainees first master cycle handling skills in a traffic free environment to complete level 1.

Then we help develop the skills and confidence to cycle on local roads and simple junctions for level 2. Level 3 includes tackling busier , multi-lane roads and complex junctions.

Bikeability is designed to give young people the skills and confidence to ride, especially on roads. Cycling is a life skill and learning to ride a bike is a rite of passage.

Our National Standards Cycling Instructors go in to schools providing bikes and helmets, and are always there to make sure that children are learning in a safe group environment. If you would like to know a little more about this or book in for a school near you, please give us a call or drop us a message and we can answer any questions you have.

RideWise started in 2001 working within Nottingham communities. We have taught over 20,000 people how to ride a bike. We aim to inspire and enable people to use multimodal transport to improve their health as well as reduce our environmental impact.
