Green Transport Choices

Nottingham Gets 2 Work

From 2016 to 2018 we were partnered with Sustrans to deliver the Nottingham Gets 2 Work project. NG2W was aimed at jobseekers who were 16-29 years old, from Nottingham and unemployed. As part of this project we offered free reconditioned bikes, free public transport passes, personal travel plans, journey buddying, Bike maintenance courses, cycle training, Dr Bikes and Build a bike courses to help jobseekers travel to employment opportunities.

Last Mile

If you travel in to work by car, bus, or tram could you get off a stop earlier or park somewhere else so that you can walk or cycle the last leg of your journey? This not only benefits the environment but also your health, it's an easy change to make sure you get some exercise in to your working day.

Park and Ride

Nottingham have lots of park and ride locations to get in and out of the city. Why not park at a tram stop and avoid getting stuck in the city traffic, fighting for a car space? Find park and ride locations here:

RideWise started in 2001 working within Nottingham communities. We have taught over 20,000 people how to ride a bike. We aim to inspire and enable people to use multimodal transport to improve their health as well as reduce our environmental impact.
