Meet Our Chief Executive

Helen Hemstock

Chief Executive of RideWise

Helen Hemstock has worked for the charity, the Sustainable Travel Collective Ltd, for the last 16 years during which time she has developed vast expertise in multi-modal project delivery, public engagement and consultation and in creating need driven solutions to encourage and facilitate modal shift.

Helen was appointed Chief Executive in 2018 and is moving the charity forward in achieving its aim of 'making green transport the first choice for people and businesses in the communities that we serve'. In her role, Helen works to inspire, enable and support individuals, businesses and communities to move to sustainable transport and is proud that her organisation has trained over 20,000 individuals to cycle, been part of a world-first technology project to support electric vehicle charging and changes lives through the use of transport as an enabler for better lifestyle and environment.

When Helen is not at RideWise HQ then she can often found running with the Notts Womens Runners or teaching swimming lessons, after becoming a qualified Swim Teacher in 2017.

RideWise started in 2001 working within Nottingham communities. We have taught over 20,000 people how to ride a bike. We aim to inspire and enable people to use multimodal transport to improve their health as well as reduce our environmental impact.
