Six free cycling sessions for people with disabilities or additional needs.
We are excited to let you know that we have been successful in gaining some funding to provide 20 people with any disability (and their households, of up to 5 people) with up to six one-hour sessions each (which ideally will run each week at the same time).
These sessions can be a great opportunity for you and your family to:
· have some fun
· learn to cycle
· get some exercise
· improve your cycling skills
· try out our different bikes
· go on a bike ride
Our instructors are friendly and patient. We have a wide range of bicycles such as: balance bikes, tricycles, hand cranked bikes, three wheeled recumbents and tandems, so we can create a session that will suit you and your family. Our instructors are confident in showing you how to use our adaptive bikes, from years of delivering our inclusive ‘Cycling for All’ sessions.
We are encouraging you to have your sessions at Harvey Hadden Sports Village cycling track, where will have appropriate bikes and a risk assessed site available. There is a 1km smooth track there, which is a great area for the session. If you are not able to access this location, you can have a chat to us about other locations that might be suitable. Covid-19 safety guidance is in place.
If you are interested in attending, or would like to discuss more about the bikes we have or your personal needs please email email@example.com. Please remember to include number of people hoping to attend, disabilities/additional needs, what you hope to get from the session, bikes/helmets required, preferred location and contact info. You can also book your session through our website: https://www.ridewise.org.uk/bookasession. Please remember places are limited, and allocated on a first come, first served basis.
