Do you provide community cycle training outside of the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire area?
Whilst we love helping people learn to ride, we’re best placed to do this within the communities that we work with regularly. Unfortunately, at the moment this means we’re unable to provide regular community training outside of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire unless we have specific funded schemes running.
I’m interested in becoming a cycling instructor - do you have any courses?
Yes! We run monthly OFQUAL registered Cycle Instructor training courses, where you can learn all the skills to move to a greener, healthier career. Drop us a line and we’ll let you know when the next dates are.
Do you have bikes for disabled people?
Yes! We believe that access to suitable bikes shouldn’t be a barrier and so we have a wide selection of bikes suitable for supportive, accessible cycling – we want everyone to love cycling as much as we do! If you’d like to use one of our supportive bikes at a training session then please let us know when you book your session. This helps us to make sure the right bike is available for every learner.
Where are your Community Cycle Centres?
Our centres are at Bulwell Forest Recreation Ground, Harvey Hadden Stadium, King Edward Park in Sneinton and Lenton Abbey Park in Nottingham. And we sometimes have pop-up centres across the City and County areas.
How do I book a session?
You can either phone us on 0115 9552288 or visit our booking page - bookwhen.com/ridewise
How much does it cost for cycle training?
Some of our cycle sessions are free of charge because we’ve been able to secure grants to cover the costs of running them. If you’re not eligible for these sessions then our one-to-one or small group sessions are available for £30 per session – up to 6 learners can take part with one of our expert instructors.
Do you provide a bike fleet maintenance service?
Yes, at RideWise we offer a range of services to local businesses, including the maintenance of bike fleets. Get in touch and we’ll provide you with more details and a personalised quote.
Can I borrow one of your bikes?
Yes! If you’re in our area then we’d be happy to lend you one of our bikes. Get in touch to see if we have one suitable for you.
Is RideWise a charity….or are you just really nice people?
We’re a registered charity (and we’re lovely people too!). We’re registered with the Charity Commission and our registration number is 1153800. We rely on donations, grants and community support to run our projects – we’ve been working with communities across our region since 2005!
