Ways To Help

Ways we can make things better, together.

There are lots of ways that you can support RideWise. From cake bakes to sponsored walks and cycles. From financial donations to spreading the word. And simply by thinking about how you travel and encouraging others to do the same.

Donate

As a charity, we rely heavily on donations and grant funding to enable us to run our projects and provide free services to communities across Nottingham. Any donation could make such a difference, so every amount is always appreciated, not just by us, but also by the people in our communities.

Volunteer

We're always in need of volunteers. Volunteers can support our Community Cycle Centres to help support and encourage people to learn how to ride a bike. Other opportunities are on our trade stands at events as support for our staff who share their passion for cycling and walking.

Sponsorship

Why not have a bit of fun and raise sponsorship through group challenges, bike rides, walks or bake days? They're great ways to show your support and contribute. Pop over to Just Giving to find out more!

Donate a bike

Donate a Bike

Do you have a bike that you no longer need? We'd be really grateful if you'd consider donating it to us!

Our volunteer mechanics will refurbish it and give it a new lease of life! Or if it's beyond repair, we may be able to use some of the parts for repairs... nothing is wasted.

If you're able, you can drop off the bike(s) at Lenton Abbey Park, NG9 2SF, between 9am and 3pm, Tuesday - Saturday. You can also drop off at our Stapleford Cycle Hub, NG9 8JL, on Sundays from 10am - 1pm

Details for both workshops can be found HERE.

If you're unable to drop it off, and you live within a 30 minute drive of Lenton Abbey Park NG9 2SF, we may be able to arrange a collection. You can book a collection to pick up your bike by viewing our bike collection dates and booking your collection through our online booking form.

Donated bikes are used for our many community projects which might involve providing cycling lessons for all ages and abilities at our cycle centres, or gifting them to those in need.

More Ideas!

Encourage your networks to donate their unwanted bicycles! Our volunteers help us 6 days a week to refurbish donated bikes for use by our communities - an unwanted bike can be the gift of transport independence.

We may be able to collect the bikes too!

Support our text donation campaign - we're always raising funds to keep our community projects going!

Simply text BIKES to 70085 to donate £5! (texts cost £5 and your standard message rate. You will be opting in to hear more from us. To opt out text BIKESNOINFO to 70085 to donate £5 (without joining our mailing list)

Perhaps you'd like to make a donation. We'll work closely with you, so you'll know how your funds are helping to provide a positive impact on our communities - join our supporters mailing list (bottom of each page) so we can keep you up to date.

If there's anything we can help you with at all - you can email us at
