Public Transport
Nottingham has one of the most extensive public transport networks in the UK, with hundreds of miles of public transport routes, low emission fleets and integrated ticketing which means that you can make the very most of the bus and tram network.
Our local bus operators have won a mountain of awards and collectively they make millions of journeys a year.
Green Vehicles
Going greener for your car is a good way to reduce your environmental impact. Go Ultra Low Nottingham has invested £2m of funding from the Office for Low Emission Vehicles Go Ultra Low City Fund to provide a public network of 230 EV charge points in the local authority areas of Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, Derby and Derbyshire

There’s an increasing network of charging points across Nottingham and Nottingham with new chargers being added frequently. There are also grant opportunities for you to save on the cost of home electric chargers and discounted tariff rates.
Car Sharing
Car sharing is a great way to reduce stress, save money and do your bit for the environment. There are over 700,000 people signed up to LiftShare’s national car sharing scheme, saving on average £1,000 per year! It’s free to sign up and you can get sharing straight away!
Project Green Space
Green social prescribing is a way of connecting people to nature-based activities and green groups, projects and schemes in their local community for support with health and wellbeing. Often this will be through a referral from a Link Worker based at a GP practice or another primary care professional. Our scheme in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, called GreenSpace, all about improving people’s mental and physical health connecting many more people with nature-based activities, helping everyone to feel better.
Locally Nottingham Community and Voluntary Service is leading the programme.
You can find out more about Greenspace including how to access the services they provide here: Green Social Prescribing - NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICB
